AbstrakMeningkatkan pengajaran matematika secara terus menerus merupakan upaya yang harus dilakukan. Hal ini dikarenakan tidak hanya dipelajari oleh siswa sepanjang tahun tetapi juga banyak digunakan sebagai indikator kunci keberhasilan individu siswa. Salah satu faktor penting mempengaruhi adalah buku teks. Artikel membahas teks dari dua negara, yaitu Singapura dan Jepang. Kajian terhadap kedua dilakukan karakter fisik, struktur, topik/isi Kesimpulan hasil kajian berikut. Secara Buku lebih sederhana dalam warna, dibandingkan Jumlah halaman jumlah Dari segi struktur buku, pada Singapura, terdapat beberapa bab dimulai dengan ringkasan materi prasyarat, kemudian diikuti dasar, contoh penyelesaiannya, latihan. Sedangkan Jepang, sebagian besar diawali ilustrasi mengenai topik dibahas, pertanyaan mendasar, materi, pengayaan, latihan soal. Pada sekolah menengah ditekan kan domain Geometri Pengukuran, sedangkan Jepang ditekankan Relasi Aljabar, urutan selanjutnya Pengukuran. AbstractContinuous improvement of mathematics teaching is a continual process. The ground the that not only studied by students throughout year but it also widely used as key indicator students’ success. One important factors influence textbooks. This study discussed textbooks from two countries, namely Singapore and Japan. aim was to examine textbooks’ physical character, structure, topic/content. pointed out several points. Singaporean Math Textbook physically simpler in colour than Japanese Textbook. It had more pages Regarding book's chapters Mathematics began with summary prerequisite material, followed topics, examples solutions, exercises. In Textbooks, most started illustrations on topics discussed, essential questions, summaries, enrichment, secondary school textbooks, emphasized Geometry Measurement domains, while Relation Algebra domains domains.
